The Shropshire Group, Inc., is an educational nonprofit corporation aimed at providing the academic and financial resources to minority students for admission into graduate and professional school. While overall applications to graduate and professional school have increased, the number of applications from minority students has dramatically decreased. Most minority students point to improved academic counseling and better financial support, whether by scholarships or grants, as areas they feel would produce a more competitive applicant within the graduate and professional school admissions selection process.

Higher education is based on the exchange of ideas, experiences, and theories of written examination. As a wide range of intellectual views are expressed, the foundation of education is enriched with a new sense of purpose and dedication. The graduate and professional school selection process is now one of the most competitive in its long, prestigious history. Every student who dreams of reaching their potential in life should have the opportunity to make those dreams a reality.
